Ale-8-One’s long-neck bottles return to Lexington-area Kroger stores
WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Ale-8-One is making its iconic long-neck returnable bottles available at even more locations in its core market with the addition of 18 Kroger stores in the Lexington area.
The long-neck bottles are an important part of the 92-year-old soda’s history. These environmentally-friendly bottles are reused time and time again, washed and inspected twice before being refilled and sent back out into the world. The glass is thicker than other Ale-8 bottles and many claim an Ale-8 tastes even better in a long-neck. Ale-8 is proud to donate one percent of sales from all long-neck purchases to environmental non-profits working in the Red River Gorge through its partnership with 1 % For The Planet.
Previously, the long-neck returnable bottles have only been available at select retailers in Ale-8’s core market, however a new initiative with Kroger is bringing them to more stores. The bottles are available in six-packs for $3.28 plus a $1.80 deposit and customers get a $1.80 refund for every long-neck six-pack returned to the store. Visit ale8one for more information.
