Accused murderer back in Kentucky, faces judge Monday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Demarcus Harris is the third person arrested in connection to the 2014 murder of Darnell Bates. Harris was taken into custody on December 5th.

U.S. Marshals tracked Harris down near Columbus, Ohio. He was brought back to Kentucky on Friday. He will go before a judge Monday to face murder and burglary charges.

According to Lexington Police, they were called to a home on Addie Street on October 5, 2014. That’s where they found Bates suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
