Accused killer found in McLean County


BELTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say, based on a tip, troopers found 59-year-old Rickie Jones inside a camping trailer in Rumsey, Kentucky.

The search is on for a man accused of killing his neighbor during an argument in Muhlenberg County, according to State Police.

Investigators say 37-year old Tony Faith got into an argument with 59-year old Rickie Jones at Faith’s house Friday night, November 3, 2017.

Faith’s wife told investigators after the argument ended, she went to bed.  She says the last thing she saw was her husband going back outside to confront Jones a second time.  When she woke up Saturday morning, she says she found her husband dead in their front yard.

State Police say Rickie Jones was captured on security camera buying items from the Even Steven Convenience store in Daviess County.  Investigators say he may be traveling in a tan or gold Toyota Camry.

Jones is described as white, 6’6,” 300-pounds with gray hair and blue eyes.

State Police say Jones has a history of mental illness.  He is considered armed and dangerous, according to KSP.

Anyone with information about Jones’ whereabouts is asked to call State Police at 270-676-3313.

State Police say if you see Jones, do not approach him; call KSP immediately.
