Accused killer in Lexington also wanted in Memphis

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man accused of murdering a Kentucky National Guardsman in Lexington is also wanted for attempted murder in Shelby County, Tennessee, according to court documents obtained by ABC 36 News. 21-year old Jeremy Harris was arrested earlier this week by Lexington Police.

He’s accused of shooting 24-year old Trevor Dilger on September 4, putting the body in Dilger’s car, driving to Redd Road in rural Fayette County and setting the vehicle on fire.

Harris has pleaded not guilty to all charges in the case. He is due back in court in Lexington September 22.

Meantime, police in Memphis, Tennessee say Harris is wanted in connection to a shooting there this past May.

Two other people are charged in connection to the Dilger murder in Lexington; 23-year old Justin Slone and 32-year old Christie Hanley. They have both pleaded not guilty to all the charges against them.

Investigators have not released a motive for the murder.

The Kentucky National Guard says Trevor Dilger will be buried with full military honors.
