UPDATE: 1 killed, 2 others hurt in Georgetown crash

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – One person is dead and two others are injured after a three-vehicle crash in Georgetown Friday afternoon.

According to police, a driver of an SUV was pulling out of Timberland Drive onto Cherry Blossom Way, trying to make a left turn and struck another SUV traveling northbound. Police say the SUV lost control and collided into a semi truck traveling southbound on Cherry Blossom Way. Officers say the person in the SUV traveling northbound, died. The person in the other SUV and truck were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No word yet on the victim’s name. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. All Toyota Traffic needs to use 1-75 and exit at the 129 Mile for access to and from the plant.
