A traffic alert for drivers on I-75 in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington Police are alerting drivers of potential delays Tuesday as Kentucky Utilities and construction crews begin installing electrical lines across both lanes of I-75 near the Paris Pike exit at mile marker 113.

According to police, the work is scheduled to take place until 3:00 p.m. and will involve rolling roadblocks on both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-75 as well as the westbound lanes of I-64.

Officials are urging drivers to slow down and be prepared to stop while traveling through the affected area.

Drivers should use alternate routes if possible and exercise caution when traveling near construction crews. Further updates will be provided as the work progresses.
