A slow temperature rise through the week
Today’s outlook
We had yet another chilly start to the day, and we’ll slowly warm up, reaching near 70 by lunchtime. Through the afternoon, many of us will reach right around 80 degrees, leaving us feeling warm and pleasant. We should have lots of sunshine with just a few clouds here and there through the afternoon. A light southeastern breeze adds to the mix, making for a picture-perfect afternoon and fantastic conditions to get outdoors! Just take those allergy meds first, as ragweed is still at high levels.
The week’s outlook
Temperatures will slowly warm through the week. We’ll land in the mid-80s by mid-week, before warming more to the upper 80s by the end of the work week, putting us right around average. Through the week, we expect to be dry and sunny. Thursday, the upper Ohio River Valley will see a front move through, bringing a few potential rain showers to Illinois and Indiana, but as of right now, this looks to stay off to our NW, leaving us with no rain chances in the next several days.
Weekend and beyond
This weekend will be a warm one with temperatures a few degrees above average, with some of us reaching near 90 degrees! We should have lots of sunshine to start us off on Saturday, but we might get a bit more cloud cover on Sunday. As we head into the start of our next work week, a system may make its way through, bringing us more clouds and possibly a few sprinkles. However, as of now, we are looking to remain dry. This, of course, could change as we get closer.
