A chance for showers and storms Easter weekend

Two words to describe our Good Friday are hot and windy- highs peaked in the low and mid 80s and wind gusts were clocked more than 30 mph. We will keep the warmth and the winds around through the night tonight as temps only fall to the mid 60s and winds continue out of the southwest.  Saturday will mirror Friday with highs near 80 and windy conditions, and there’s also a chance for showers and storms for northern Kentucky.

You will want to check the radar on Easter Sunday before you head out for church and eggs hunts, as there is a chance for isolated showers and storms throughout the day. Temperatures will continue near 80, but the winds will be a bit calmer.

A cold front will sweep across the state Monday giving us all a better chance for showers and storms. Tuesday will be quiet before rain chances return for the rest of the work week starting Wednesday. If you’re liking the warmer temperatures, you will like this coming week, because temperatures will hang out in the 70s.
