A bit of a temperature roller coaster ahead
Cooling down towards mid-week
Tuesday morning, we’re cool and calm with lots of sunshine. Sunglasses and a light jacket will be the things to grab when heading out the door. Morning temperatures will remain in the 40s and 50s through Friday morning. Daytime high temperatures will begin to vary a bit. Tuesday afternoon we’ll see the mid-70s. Wednesday we cool slightly to the low 70s, and Thursday we’re right at the 70-degree mark. We may see some more cloud cover on Wednesday, but for the most part, expect plenty of sunshine.
High pressure builds on Friday
Friday afternoon, high pressure will build in to our east. This brings us winds out of the south. Southern breezes will usher in warm, moist air. Temperatures rise back to the mid-70s Friday afternoon, and possibly near 80 on Saturday. This moist air will bring some partly cloudy skies and will set the stage for some possible weekend rainfall
Weekend cold front
Rain chances this weekend are brought on by a cold front set to move through the region. Currently, confidence remains low regarding the exact details. However, forecast trends indicate that the front is most likely to move through from Saturday evening to Saturday night, increasing our rain chances during the overnight hours. This would cool us down on Sunday to the 60s and will cause scattered storm chances. As of right now, there is not enough certainty over whether or not we could see some stronger storms. We’ll continue to track this as we get closer.
