Bill brings heavy rain, few problems to Central Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Some minor flooding on roadways, swollen creeks and a few downed trees are all "Bill" had in store for Central Kentucky, Saturday.

A part of a tree which fell out on Faulkner Avenue, Saturday afternoon took some power lines down with it. Crews worked to remove the tree from the roadway. Crews out there say it was taking a long time to get cleaned up and Faulkner Avenue was closed in both directions.

They say folks from the power company were out there as well working to get those lines repaired and operating again.

A family in Jessamine County sent ABC 36 video of a lightning strike that was a little close to comfort for them. The video shows the strike as one of them was walking out of their home. Seconds later, thunder rolled. No one was hurt and the family says no damage was done to their home.
