Six Vehicle-Collision On New Circle Road Leads To Traffic Backup
Lexington police said a six-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon on New Circle Road led to traffic delays.
It happened around 4:45 at Tates Creek.
The city said after the collision, traffic was backed up to Alumni Drive.
Officers said the accident happened after a driver was temporarily blinded by the sun, and rear-ended another vehicle.
Police said the collision caused a chain reaction.
Traffic was already slow at the time of the accident.
Two people went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officers.
