UPDATE: CentrePointe To Include Two Hotels

The CentrePointe project in downtown Lexington now includes two hotels, according to a published report in Business Lexington.

The report said the development will include a 110 unit "suite hotel with (an) extended stay component," on the block that’s slated to house a Marriott family brand.

During a presentation to the Courthouse Area Design Review Board, the attorney for the project’s developers said the extended stay hotel would be in the previously proposed apartment building along Main and Upper Streets, according to the report.

Developer Dudley Webb said the hotel would be branded with one of the Marriott’s family of names, but that it wouldn’t be known until the coming weeks.

The new extended stay hotel along Main Street would take up five floors of the proposed 12-story building.  There would be six floors of apartments and the ground floor would be retail space, according to the published report.

The previously announced 18-story hotel building on the corner of Upper and Vine Streets would be 11-floors of hotel while the top seven floors would be condos.  Dudley Webb said the price points on those condos would be announced soon, according to the report.

The Courthouse Design Review Board approved the project changes, according to Business Lexington.

Dudley Webb said the first building on the block to be completed would be the office building, which could be ready by May or June of 2015.  He said the hotels would be ready by the fall of 2015, according to the report.
