KSP warn of parking ticket email scam

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are warning people of a parking ticket email scam.

According to a release from KSP, an email is received stating the person had received a parking ticket, and if not paid by you would be in contempt of court. The email contains a citation number, and states a parking citation for ‘failure to pay toll.’ The email is signed:

As of September 7th there is only one reported case of this scam but KSP wants everyone to be aware.

This is a scam. Don’t fall for it. This is not how the Kentucky State Police deals with parking violations.
