The work weeks starts off foggy, with some rain chances ahead
Monday – Monday Night
Dense fog advisories will be in effect throughout the Bluegrass until late morning. There is a lot of moisture trapped underneath a layer of cold air in the mid-atmosphere. This causes fog to persist later than usual. Once that clears, clouds will move in. We’ll end up partly to mostly cloudy for the afternoon. Temperatures will be mild in the low 60s. Tonight, rain chances will slowly creep in from the west. Overnight rail will be scattered and light.
Tuesday – Wednesday
Tuesday morning will start with widespread rainfall. Be sure to grab an umbrella before heading out the door. Rain will persist through the afternoon, gradually becoming more scattered-isolated. Some may hear a few rumbles of thunder, and those to the SE could see a stronger t-storm. These storms would have gusty winds; no major impacts are expected. Rain will likely amount to nearly an inch for most. Rain chances continue into Wednesday morning, where a few may see some drizzle heading out the door. Most will be dry by the afternoon with seasonal temperatures.
Thanksgiving – Weekend
Thursday will be breezy with winds out of the northwest, ushering in colder temperatures. For those who turkey trot, bundle up. Morning lows will be in the 20s. By the afternoon, the upper 30s is where most will land. Be sure to bundle up in your thick seasonal sweaters. By Thursday night and Friday morning, temperatures will return to the 20s, making for a cold outdoor wait if you’re Black Friday shopping. The weekend looks to be active, with unsettled weather possible. This may change as the forecast becomes clearer, but travel impacts may occur. We will be tracking this through the week
