New Circle Road exit ramps at Leestown Road partially reopen ahead of schedule
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The New Circle Road exit ramps to and from Leestown Road have partially reopened earlier than expected, giving drivers a break after more than a week of detours.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, construction crews worked around the clock to get the ramps reopened. For now, drivers should expect limited access — the ramps are temporarily restricted to right-turn movements only.
The ramps were originally scheduled to reopen on November 26 after last week’s shutdown tied to the ongoing New Circle Road widening project. State officials say the project remains on track for completion in 2027.
