A breezy Saturday gives way to cooler, sunnier days ahead
A breezy Saturday gives way to cooler sunshine Sunday before a wetter pattern settles in next week.
A Warm and Windy Saturday Wraps Up
Saturday delivered one more taste of spring-like warmth, with highs climbing into the upper 60s and even a few low 70s across the region. Sunshine was plentiful, but the breezy conditions were hard to ignore — winds frequently gusted between 20 and 30 mph thanks to strong southwesterly flow ahead of an arriving cold front.
Isolated Evening Showers Moving Through
As we head through tonight, a narrow band of isolated showers may pass through, especially for areas east of I-65. Thunder isn’t impossible, but the setup doesn’t strongly favor it.
Overnight lows will fall into the mid-40s, with clearing skies developing toward daybreak.
Cooler Sunshine Returns for Sunday
After the front sweeps through, Sunday looks much cooler but very pleasant. Highs will top out in the mid-50s, with abundant sunshine and a refreshing northwest breeze around 10–15 mph.
Skies stay clear into Sunday night, setting us up for a colder night with low temperatures dipping into the low 30s — the chilliest night we’ve seen in a little while.
Monday Stays Cool and Quiet
Monday will be another dry, calm day with highs in the mid-50s to near 60° under mostly sunny skies. This is classic mid-November chill — seasonable and crisp.
A Wet Stretch Arrives Tuesday
Our next active pattern arrives on Tuesday as a warm front stalls over the region and repeated waves of moisture ride along it. Scattered to widespread rain showers are likely through the day Tuesday, with even a rumble of thunder possible — especially across southern Kentucky.
Midweek: On-and-Off Rain Chances Continue
Wednesday won’t be quite as wet as Tuesday, but we’ll still hold onto the chance for a few isolated showers. Rain chances increase once again toward the end of the week, with several systems expected to move along a stalled boundary. Forecast confidence is higher on the overall wet trend than on the exact timing of each wave. Temperatures mid-to-late week will moderate, climbing back into the mid to upper 60s Thursday and Friday.
