Bengals crushed by Broncos on Monday Night Football

DENVER, Co. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The Cincinnati Bengals were beaten by the Denver Broncos 28-3 on Monday night from Empower Field in Denver. This loss to the Broncos was the Bengals second straight loss since losing QB Joe Burrow to the IR with turf toe.

The Bengals started off well with a field goal to lead off the scoring. It all went downhill afterwards, however, as the Bengals could not get anything going and allowed 28 unanswered.

In his second start of the season, Browning once again was unable to get into a rhythm. He went 14/25 for 125 yards. He did not throw any touchdowns or interceptions. Chase Brown led the way on the ground with 10 carries for 40 yards and Tee Higgins was the leading receiver with three catches for 32 yards.

The one highlight of the game was when rookie LB Demetrius Knight snagged his first interception of his career late in the second quarter with a pick in the endzone of Broncos QB Bo Nix on fourth down.

The Bengals return to action next Sunday, October 5th, where they will host the Detroit Lions (3-1). The game will kick off at 4:25 EST from Paycor Stadium.
