Rain chances almost over with a drier weekend ahead
Cold front passing today
A cold front has been moving through the Bluegrass early this morning and will continue through the early afternoon. Ahead of this front, we’re seeing heavy rainfall. Those behind have seen rain reduced to drizzle, which is becoming more scattered. Later today, we will continue to see a scattered chance of rain and thunderstorms. Despite the cold front, temperatures will still be warm in the upper 70s.
The rest of the work week
Tonight will be dry and calm, and much of Friday will be as well. Friday morning many of us will see patchy dense fog. In the afternoon, we’ll have mostly cloudy skies, and temperatures will remain in the upper 70s. Friday afternoon, we may see some isolated rain showers, but most will stay dry through most of the day. This trend continues into Friday night.
A drier weekend ahead
Saturday looks to stay almost fully dry for all, except there is a small chance for a few isolated showers to creep their way into far eastern KY. Most won’t see any rain, just some cloud cover and warm temperatures near 80. Sunday, we all should stay dry, and we’ll continue to see a slight warming trend into the lower 80s. If you have any outdoor plans this weekend, keep in mind all the rainfall we’ve gotten! Apple orchards and pumpkin patches may be muddy, as well as outdoor trails and parks.
