Rain chances begin today and last through Thursday

Starting dry before afternoon showers

This morning, we’re starting our Tuesday with mild and dry conditions. Temperatures are mild in the upper 50s to lower 60s, and we’ll have a few clouds. Cloud cover will build from the south around lunchtime, and that’s when we’ll see rain chances ramping up as well. The best chance to see some of these scattered showers will be further to the south, below I-64, although some isolated showers may pop up further north.

Rain through mid-week

Wednesday will look very similar to Tuesday with some isolated to scattered showers, mainly to the south. Thursday is when a cold front begins to move through. A line of showers and t-storms will move through starting in the morning, pushing through the Bluegrass region during the afternoon. We’re not looking at any severe storm chances at this time. Thursday evening, we’ll be behind the cold front, leaving us cool and calm.

A fall-like weekend

Temperatures will drop into the mid-upper 70s for the rest of the week and into the weekend. A second cold front may make its way through Friday into Saturday, bringing in an isolated chance for some sprinkles. For the most part, our weekend looks to be dry and seasonably cool.
