Sunshine Dominates the Holiday Weekend

Warm, pleasant days continue before midweek rain chances return

A Fantastic Saturday Across the Bluegrass
Saturday truly delivered with a picture-perfect forecast—sunshine, comfortable humidity, and highs in the low 80s. It was ideal weather for the Cats’ season opener at Kroger Field and really gave us that first little taste of fall we’ve been talking about.

Labor Day Weekend Stays Pleasant
The nice stretch of weather continues for the rest of the holiday weekend. Expect highs in the low to mid 80s and chilly mornings in the 50s—great weather if you have plans to be outside. For Labor Day itself, most of us will stay dry, though southern Kentucky could see an isolated afternoon shower or two. Even with that slim chance of rain, it’s a day you’ll want sunscreen handy if you’re grilling, swimming, or heading to the lake.

Rain Returns Midweek
Our quiet pattern breaks down as we head into the middle of the week. A cold front will bring back our first real rain chances of September by Wednesday and Thursday, with scattered showers and a few storms possible. Behind that system, another refreshing push of Canadian air sets up shop, dropping our highs into the mid-70s by the end of the week and overnight lows into the 50s—some spots may even dip into the upper 40s by Friday morning!
