A fantastic forecast for today through the weekend

A warm end to the week

Temperatures started mild this morning, with many in the mid-to-upper 50s, a tad warmer than we have been over the past few mornings. We’ll warm up quickly to the upper 70s by lunchtime, with lower 80s expected this afternoon. We’ll see partly cloudy skies as a cold front moves through this afternoon. This won’t affect temperatures much today, and football Friday night will be quite pleasant.

Holiday weekend forecast

Saturday, we’ll see the effects of the cold front with temperatures a few degrees cooler than this afternoon in the upper 70s. It’ll be a great afternoon to kick off college football with UK. Sunday, we’ll see temperatures slightly warming up into the low 80s, feeling warm and calm through the weekend. Two things to look out for if you have outdoor plans: The UV index and allergies. The UV index will fall around 8-9 through the weekend, so be sure to apply sunscreen as you’ll be able to burn in as little as 20 minutes. Ragweed allergens are at very high levels and will remain that way through the weekend, so be sure to take your allergy medication.

Next week’s outlook

Unsettled weather is still trending for next week, with the potential for another cool down later in the week. A lot could still change between now and then, but it wouldn’t be shocking if we broke our dry streak at some point this weekend.
