Rinse and repeat pattern to return with heat ahead

Average August day ahead

Temperatures will be near average in the upper 80s with partly cloudy skies and an isolated shower chance after lunchtime. Most areas will stay dry; however, a few will experience brief, heavy rainfall.

Hot start to the weekend

Tomorrow we’ll see temperatures return to the 90s for our Friday. Over the weekend, they will continue to rise into the mid-90s, with feels-like temperatures possibly in the triple digits. Our rinse and repeat pattern returns with small isolated shower chances each day.

Kentucky State Fair Forecast:

Looking warm and muggy for today, the first day of the state fair. You might see a stray shower this afternoon, but the evening will be mild and humid. Stay hydrated if you’re heading out this weekend due to those possible heat indices near 100. And keep the sunscreen close by, the UV index is likely to be in the 9-10 range where a sunburn can occur in as little as 20 minutes.
