Person rescued from reservoir at Jacobson Park
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – One person was rescued from the reservoir at Jacobson Park on Saturday.
According to the Lexington Fire Department, crews were called around 5:30 Saturday afternoon to the park for a kayaker who lost their balance and fell into the water.
A full water rescue response was deployed, and the kayaker was safely brought back to shore without injury.
According to the fire department, wind and higher water levels contributed to the kayaker’s difficulty returning to shore.
The kayaker was evaluated at the scene but declined transport to the hospital.
