Victim in Saturday shooting identified

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – One person has died after a shooting Saturday night in Lexington.

The Fayette County Coroner has identified the victim as 35-year-old Gregory Lawrence Williams of Warren, Michigan.

Williams died at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.

According to police, officers were called to the 1000 block of Chinoe Road for a shots fired call just before 6:45 p.m.

When they arrived, police say they found Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. He was then taken to the hospital.

Police have not released any suspect information at this time.
