LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Happy Tuesday! A few sprinkles out there this morning will be clearing out by lunchtime. Skies will start the day mostly cloudy before we clear out slowly by the afternoon. Temperatures will be comparable to Monday this afternoon, just a few degrees warmer. Skies clear out overnight and that will allow temperatures to return to the low 60s for most areas. The valleys will be a few degrees cooler as well into the upper 50s in spots.
We are expecting thing to warm-up Wednesday afternoon. High temperatures will range from the mid-80s for most, to the upper 80s in isolated areas. This warming trend will continue into the day on Thursday. Upper 80s will be more likely Thursday afternoon.
Rain and storm chances start to increase during the second half of the day on Thursday as well. There will be a couple rounds of rain and storms starting Thursday afternoon/evening and last until the first half of the weekend. Some isolated heavy rain will be possible, particularly late night Thursday and then again during the second half Friday. Rain chances will begin to exit during the day on Saturday with just a few isolated showers on Sunday.
Temperatures will likely be staying near-to-be average for next week as well, sticking with our seasonable pattern.
