LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Happy Monday! It was a rainy start to the day as many areas woke up to heavy rain this morning. The heaviest and most widespread rain will likely be limited to the early morning hours. Expect isolated-to-scattered showers and a few storms to fire up into the afternoon hours. Not everyone will see the rain, but some localized heavy rain could be possible. Rain chances will continue into the first part of the overnight before becoming very isolated by early morning hours on Tuesday. Rain chances will return midday Tuesday into Wednesday. Rainfall could be heavy at times once again as well.
A frontal system will finally break up our pattern a bit Thursday into Friday. Scattered-to-widespread rain chances will be in the forecast on Thursday out ahead of this front. Behind the front, expect a bit of a drop in the humidity and rain chances into the weekend. Isolated activity will likely continue so don’t expect completely dry conditions. The weekend will also likely be warmer with temperatures back pushing average to just above average.
