UPDATE: Golfer Scottie Scheffler hearing Tuesday moved to June 3rd

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) -The arraignment for pro-golfer Scottie Scheffler has been moved to Monday, June 3rd.

Scheffler faces charges including felony assault on a police officer, criminal mischief, and reckless driving. His attorney stated that additional time is needed to gather video evidence of the incident that occurred in Louisville last week.

The incident took place as Scheffler was attempting to enter the Valhalla Golf Club for the second round of the PGA Championship. According to Louisville police, they were managing a traffic fatality near the entrance of the course when Scheffler tried to drive past the scene.

Police say that when an officer stopped Scheffler and attempted to give him instructions, Scheffler refused to comply and accelerated forward, dragging the officer to the ground.
