Teen identified after drowning in reservoir

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) -A juvenile has died after a ‘water rescue’ at a Lexington reservoir.

The Fayette County Coroner has identified the victim as 16-year-old Deon Davis.

Around 7:30 Friday night, crews were called to the area of ‘Laketower drive’ for reports of someone in the water, needing to be rescued.

Officials say divers found and rescued the juvenile after about 40 minutes underwater.

Resuscitation efforts were initiated immediately, before the juvenile was taken to the hospital.
