Police investigate Saturday morning shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) -Lexington Police are investigating an early morning shooting.

According to police, around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers were called to the Winburn area for shots fired.

Upon arrival, they found a male victim victim suffering from a gunshot wound near Russell Cave Road and Winburn Drive.

Police say the victim was in a vehicle when he was struck by a gunshot.

He was taken to a local hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries.
