Lexington Police issue Traffic Alert for Boys’ Sweet 16 Tournament

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department is issuing a traffic alert for the area around Rupp Arena, as the Boys’ Sweet 16 Tournament gets underway today (3/20).

They caution the area will have heavier vehicle and pedestrian traffic, especially in the mornings and afternoons.

Anyone traveling to the tournament and/or through the area is asked to use caution and allow extra time to reach their destination.

Make sure to follow all traffic signs and signals. There will be officers to assist with traffic. Please follow all commands and directions given by officers.
