Temperatures take a tumble this week
Meteorologist Jordan Smith has your Sunday evening ABC 36 Storm Team forecast
Good Sunday evening everyone, it has been a cooler day than what we have been experiencing across Kentucky. The bad news is that temperatures are going to go down even more in the days ahead. The good news is that we have plenty sunshine and dry times ahead. By Monday morning temperatures drop to the mid to upper 20s across central and eastern Kentucky. If you got ahead of the game and have planted anything during these warm days, cover it up or bring inside.
Monday afternoon stays cold with highs only in the low to mid 40s but a breezy wind making it feel even colder. There is even a SMALL chance for a sprinkle or snow flurry.
Temperatures will head back to the 20s to start our Tuesday.
Afternoon highs will come up to the low 50s with plenty of sunshine, but that is still below average for this time of year.
Wednesday morning isn’t as cold with mid to upper 30s and afternoon highs hit the low to mid 50s with sunshine.
Thursday morning starts back out below freezing with upper 20s to near 30.
Afternoon highs will hit the upper 40s to low 50s with more sunshine.
Friday we introduce some scattered showers into the area, but it isn’t anywhere to a close wash. Highs will be back into the upper 40s to low 50s.
