Mountain Parkway open after ambulance crash
Clark County, Ky. (WTVQ) — The westbound lanes of the Mountain Parkway are now open after being closed near mile marker 11 after a crash on Sunday.
According to Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue, around 3 p.m. an ambulance was taking a patient from Pikeville to UK when it hit a guardrail and flipped over.
The patient died in the crash.
The EMT suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to UK hospital and the driver suffered minor injuries.
Investigators were on scene to reconstruct the accident.
