A few rain/snow showers for the next couple days

Meteorologist Jordan Smith has your Sunday evening ABC 36 Storm Team forecast

Lexington, Kentucky (WTVQ – ABC 36): Good Sunday everyone, it’s been a dreary day across central and eastern Kentucky with rain and snow showers. A few of those continue into Monday morning with the mountains of far southeast Kentucky picking up on some accumulations. That is why a winter weather advisory is out for Harlan and Letcher counties through 7:00am Monday.

By afternoon we should be mainly dry outside of a stray flurry or sprinkle but skies will remain mostly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Slot2

Tuesday and Wednesday will both feature the chance for a few rain showers and more clouds with highs in the low to mid 40s.

Slot1

Thursday and Friday looks dry as we take a break from our active pattern with temperatures above average into the upper 40s to low 50s. Now our upcoming weekend looks mainly dry as of now, but we need to watch a sneaky system coming from the west that “could” impact our weather. I put emphasize on “could” because not all models show it. We will watch it closely and of course keep you updated right here with the ABC 36 Storm Team. #kywx
