Coroner identifies pedestrian killed in crash on Winchester Road

The Fayette County coroner has identified the pedestrian who was hit and killed on Winchester Road as Clarence Brown. He was 66.

Brown died of multiple blunt force trauma. His death was declared an accident.

Police are investigating an early morning crash that killed one pedestrian.

Around 3:17 a.m. Saturday, Lexington police and the Lexington Fire Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Winchester Road and Fortune Drive.

LPD says the pedestrian died at the scene.

Winchester Road was closed to traffic until around 7:50 a.m.

A crash reconstruction unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
