FOF Toy Program Party at Halligan’s
Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Lexington Fraternal Order of Firefighters are still looking for donations for their toy program.
FOF partnered with Halligan’s bar on Saturday night.
A percentage of the money made at the bar was given back so the firefighters can buy more toys. And anyone who showed up with an unwrapped gift was able to get a free drink.
Lt. Chris Macfarlane with the Fraternal Order spoke about why a get together like this is so important.
“I mean I get to explain to them what we do and who we’re raising toys for and how it benefits people,” said Macfarlane. “The biggest thing is a kid at Christmas time gets to open a present and we had a part of that. And they got to help us.”
Anyone who would like to help can still drop unwrapped toys off at any of the fire stations or visit the Fraternal Order of Firefighters Facebook page and scan their Amazon Wishlist link.
The FOF auction will be held on December 10th.
