A boring weather pattern until the end of week
Meteorologist Jordan Smith has a look at your Sunday evening forecast!
Lexington, Kentucky (WTVQ – ABC 36): Good Sunday evening everyone, it has been another beautiful day across the Commonwealth with more of the same in the days ahead. Monday – Thursday will start cold into the 30s on most mornings so you’ll need the jackets as you head out the door. Highs on Monday are just like today with low to mid 60s under a partly sunny sky.
Tuesday afternoon will find highs coming down a little chillier into the upper 50s to near 60.
Wednesday and Thursday will find highs back into the low to mid 60s under a mix of sun and clouds. This dry stretch is not good as most of our area is already under a MODERATE DROUGHT with wildfires still going on in southeast Kentucky. Those will likely get worse in the days ahead, unfortunately.
We have a good chance of rain Friday into early Saturday as a cold front enters the state. This is not a lot of rain, but we will take all we can get.
Temperatures come way down behind this into the coming weekend.
