Results of new approval poll for KY lawmakers released

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A new approval poll for Kentucky lawmakers and the president has been released by Mason-Dixon Polling and Research.

The media embargo for the poll was lifted at 6 a.m. Friday morning.

Mason-Dixon polled 625 registered voters in Kentucky between December 13-18, 2017.

The poll focused on the approval ratings of President Trump, Senator Mitch McConnell, Senator Rand Paul, and Governor Matt Bevin.

50% of those polled approved of President Trump’s performance, 10% higher than the national average.

Matt Bevin’s approval rating came in at 45%, while 44% approved of Rand Paul’s job performance.

Senator Mitch McConnell came in with a 62% disapproval rating, and 69% in the city of Lexington.
