KSP investigating fatal fire in Pike Co.

FEDS CREEK, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police in Pikeville are investigating a fire that took the life of one person.

Troopers say they were called just before 7:00 p.m. on Thursday about a house fire at Laurel Fork in the Feds Creek community.

Emergency responders say they did find one individual deceased in the home.  The victim has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and identification.

The cause of the fire and death is under investigation, and no foul play is suspected at this time.
