Belgian student studying at EKU talks about attacks
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – ABC 36 News has been in contact with several Kentucky colleges and universities about the terror attacks in Brussels.
The University of Kentucky, Transylvania University, Asbury College, Georgetown College, Centre College and Eastern Kentucky University all say they have no students in Belgium right now.
We do know of at least one Belgian student at EKU.
Margaux Lacroix is a freshman at EKU on a tennis scholarship. She’s from a small village in southern Belgium, about an hour from Brussels.
Lacroix learned of the attacks online Tuesday morning but says her family, including her uncle who works in the English Parliament near one of the attacks, is safe.
