LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The city says an interim director has been named for the Fayette County Detention Center. It says Scott Colvin will replace Rodney Ballard, Lexington’s Director of Community Corrections.

Ballard was recently named state corrections commissioner by Governor Matt Bevin. His last day with the city is Friday, March 11.

Colvin currently serves as the jail’s deputy director. The city says he has worked at the detention center for three years. It says Colvin has also worked in detention in Louisville and northern Kentucky for a total of 28 years of experience.
