91-year-old woman identified in Jackson Co. house fire

SAND GAP, Ky. (WTVQ)- The deputy coroner has identified the woman found dead after a house fire over the weekend in Jackson County.

The deputy coroner identified her as 91-year-old Jean Morris.

Investigators say the home she was in caught fire around 6 a.m. Saturday. State Police are investigating the cause.

The house on Morris Lane, just off US 421 in Sand Gap was destroyed.
