WPD: Woman arrested after assaulting Walmart employee
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two arrests have been made in Williamsburg after police say a woman assaulted a Walmart employee while trying to walk out of the store with two carts full of merchandise on Sunday.
Officers say 52-year-old Jana Faust tried to leave the store with over $1,000 dollars in merchandise, and when store associates asked to see her receipt, she became violent and assaulted one of the employees. Police say when they got there, Faust was very disorderly and was taken into custody after a struggle with officers.
Continuing their investigation, officers say they made their way to a 2008 Lexus in the Walmart parking lot. Inside, police say they found 68-year-old Benjamin Lewallen, who gave them a false name. Officers say they then say about 7 grams of methamphetamine in the passenger floorboard.
Jana L Faust was charged with robbery, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and trafficking. Benjamin Lewallen was also charged with trafficking, along with possession, and giving an officer a false name.
