750 New Jobs Coming To Kentucky

Toyota officials announced today that it will begin producing the Lexus ES 350 at its Georgetown plant.

Toyota will make a $360 million investment into the plant for the expansion, which will create 750 new jobs.

This is the first time a Lexus vehicle will be produced in the United States.

“This is the biggest thing that’s happened from a Toyota standpoint since they decided to come here and start production in 1988,” said Governor Steve Beshear.

Toyota has preliminary approval for more than $146 million in tax incentives through the Kentucky Jobs Retention Act for bringing the development to the Georgetown plant.

Production will begin in 2015.
