Woman hit and killed on I-75 in Madison County; lanes back open

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State Police say I-75 southbound near mile marker 73 is back open after a deadly crash Friday evening.

All lanes are back open. They were closed for around five hours.

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Traffic officials say SB I-75 in Madison County is currently blocked due to a deadly crash.

The coroner is on the scene and says a woman was walking down I-75 and was hit by a car.

Officials say the road is expected to be blocked for 2-3 hours at mile marker 73.

Traffic is being split, allowing to pass the scene on the left shoulder and exiting off exit 76 to US 25.

Officials say a reconstruction unit is on the way.
