Two raids result in big cash seizures, seven arrests

significant amount of cash and drugs in two different drug investigations.

In the most recent case, agents seized an ounce of suspected heroin, an ounce of suspected meth, more than $5,500 in cash, 70 Xanax tablets and other drugs and paraphernalia during a search of a home on Merrick Drive in Richmond, the department said.
According to police, 36-year-old Marty Johns was charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking, one count of third-degree trafficking and drug possession. In addition, 21-year-old Gerri Kindred was charged with drug and paraphernalia possession.
In the second case, a two-day investigation centered on a home on Longview Drive

resulted in the seizure of 11 ounces of suspected meth, an ounce of suspected fentanyl, a little more than an ounce of marijuana and $1,700 in cash, police said.

Five people were arrested following a search warrant.

— Shawn Rowland, 29, of Richmond, was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree (methamphetamine); Possession of marijuana; Possession of drug paraphernalia;
— Donald Rose, 61, of Richmond, was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), Trafficking in marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia;
— Daniel Rose, 35, of Richmond, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (heroin); Possession of Controlled Substance (opiates); Possession of drug paraphernalia, and Possession of marijuana.
