Despite tough year, restaurant, others giving Christmas cheer
WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A restaurant that has suffered like many others through the coronavirus pandemic is not forgetting the season.
Bargains on Broadway and Café is giving back to Winchester. The restaurant has partnered with others in the community to provide 400 free meals Christmas Day.
They’ll give them out while they last between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Christmas Day. And it’s the complete traditional fixings.
“It’s been a very hard year for everybody where blessed because we’re still open. It’s open to everybody where feeding over 400 hundred people were doing a traditional Christmas dinner with ham, turkey, dressing, green beans, baked apples, water, Ale 8, Little Debby cakes. There is a group of us got together, we are calling it ‘giving back to Winchester.’ If you’re by yourself or you’re alone, send somebody down if you have a family of 5, send 2 people down. They will get three dinners each. I mean it’s here for the community anybody wants to come that was our whole goal is make it for everybody,” explained Robert Pritchett, who owns the business.
There’s a limit of three meals per person. The business is located at 26 East Broadway in Winchester.
