$50K reward offered for suspect in Lexington mail carrier robbery
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect who allegedly robbed a USPS mail carrier.
Lexington police are asking for help finding and identifying the suspect in an armed robbery of a postal worker on Monday around noon. Police say the robbery happened in the 800 block of Spring Meadows Drive.
He’s considered armed and dangerous.
The suspect allegedly walked up behind the mail carrier, revealed a gun and demanded a key. The mail carrier handed the key over and the suspect ran off with it and the mailbag.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the mailbag but no the key. The suspect was said to have been wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask.
