$50K reward offered for information in double slaying
BARDSTOWN, Ky. (AP) — Family members say a reward for information in the slayings for a central Kentucky mother and daughter has been increased to $50,000.
Police are still investigating the April 2014 deaths of Kathy and Samantha Netherland, who lived just outside Bardstown. No arrests have been made. The previous reward for information in the case was $2,500.
Kathy Netherland, who was 48, was a special education teacher at Bardstown Elementary School while 16-year-old Samantha was a sophomore at Bardstown High School.
Police say they are still looking for a black Chevy Impala, which was caught on tape near the scene.
Media report Holly Netherland pleaded during a press conference Tuesday for anyone who knows anything about the slayings of her mother and younger sister to come forward.
