45-year-old man charged with child exploitation offenses
HUSTONVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 45-year-old Lincoln County man is being held on a $100,000 cash bond on charges related to child sexual abuse material
According to Kentucky State Police, Joey Lee Wardle was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation that began when investigators discovered he was uploading images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Hustonville on May 13, 2021. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
Wardle is charged with one count of possessing or viewing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance. This charge is a Class-C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison.
According to Pulaski County Detention Center. records, he faces a hearing Oct. 4 in Lincoln County District Court.
