4 vehicle crash shuts down I-75 in Mount Vernon for 3 hours

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (WTVQ) – According to Mount Vernon Fire Department, four vehicles were involved in a crash Sunday, blocking off part of I-75 for three hours.

Officials said a semi-truck side swiped a pick-up truck, then hit a tractor trailer and ended up demolishing a camper a black truck was pulling.

There were only two minor injuries, according to firefighters.

Northbound traffic was detoured around exit 59.
